World's Longest Baseball Game Raises Money to Battle Cancer-Help Needed!!

Jul. 25, 2019

SPMSA Families, please consider supporting this amazing event in any way that you can!

This August, 56 players will once again be coming together in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the World’s Longest Baseball Game. The marathon game, which raises money for cancer research, will be starting on August 22 and running through to August 25, 2019. The game will be played at the Centennial Ball Diamonds in Sherwood Park.

We are now looking for volunteer umpires and scorekeepers throughout the duration of the game. Experience is required for both umpires and scorekeepers.

Shifts are 4 hours in length and you can do as many shifts as you want, but I ask that you do at least two so that we have continuity through the game. Certified umpires will ump home plate and other volunteers will do the bases. We need people familiar with scorekeeping. If you know GameChanger that will be an added bonus as we will keep score both on paper and on GameChanger.

If you or anyone you know is interested in helping out with this event, please use this link to register:
